Bandai Namco today released the action RPG SAND LAND, an adaptation of legendary writer Akira Toriyama’s past works.
The new game originates from a short manga that Toriyama wrote back in 2000 and has gained the attention of fans around the world, and has recently been expanded into a larger project. In addition to games, there are also animations in the form of movies and long series. Including various toys and souvenirs.
The story of SAND LAND tells about a desert world where humans and demons live together. A major water shortage crisis has caused the protagonist, the demon prince “Beelzebub” and his follower, the demon “Theev”, and the sheriff, “Rao”, to go on a journey together to find the legendary spring. Featuring locations and stories created by Toriyama himself for use in the game and animation versions.
The gameplay will be an action RPG adventure on a large map where you can accept quests and complete the story. Search and explore cities, military bases, and remains of various ancient civilizations. There is both going down on foot and fighting, kicking and punching. Practice skills to improve your character’s stats. And the other part is driving the robot tank vehicle when traveling long distances or encountering difficult terrain. You can choose to customize upgraded weapon parts according to your play style.
