The iPad now has a calculator app! Prepare to update to iPadOS 18 in the middle of this year :: Thaimobilecenter.com

--

It’s well known among iPad users that this awesome tablet from Apple can do it all. But there’s no basic app like a calculator installed. If you want to use it, you have to download it yourself. But recently there is news that Apple is about to add a calculator app to the iPad after having to wait for 14 years.

MacRumors reports that iPadOS 18 will add a native calculator app to the iPad, with full details to be revealed at WWDC on June 10.

Last week, Apple Insiders reported that MacOS 15 will have a revamped Calculator app. Added ability to launch the calculator from the Notes app, minimize/maximize windows, add a sidebar to show recent results, and more. It’s possible the iPad’s Calculator app will follow the same format.

iPadOS 18 beta 1 is expected to be available for download immediately after WWDC on June 10, and the full version may be released around the same time as the launch of the iPhone 16 Series this September.

However, not all iPad models will have a calculator app. Because according to the latest reports, iPadOS 18 will not support A10X Fusion chipset or lower. The only supported models are:

  • iPad Pro 2018 and later
  • iPad Air 2019 and later
  • iPad mini 2019 and later
  • iPad 2020 and later

As for the full details of the Calculator app and iPadOS 18, we’ll have to wait and see this June.
