Huawei states that the company will work closely with developers to provide support for their needs. To build a strong HarmonyOS app and ecosystem, the company will initially focus on the Chinese market first. Research shows that 99% of users spend time with more than 5,000 apps, meaning that HarmonyOS should have at least 5,000 apps in its ecosystem.
HarmonyOS NEXT currently has more than 4,000 apps optimized for the system, which is in line with the company’s expectations. But it will take time and effort for Huawei to bring in more developers to develop apps for HarmonyOS.
