Biden congratulated the Senate on passage of the bill, stating, “I will sign this bill as soon as it reaches my desk tomorrow. So that we can start sending weapons and equipment to Ukraine this week.”

Biden added that “There is an urgent need for Ukraine which is facing unrelenting attacks from Russia. Urgent for Israel, which has just faced an unprecedented attack from Iran. Urgent for refugees and people affected by conflict and natural disasters around the world. including in Gaza, Sudan and Haiti, and for our partners seeking security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.”
