The passenger’s name is MR.JASON MERRILL FULLMER, American nationality. travel to Phuket and stayed in the hotel Nai Yang beach area since 17 Dec. ’22
On December 20, 2022, MR.JASON came to see a doctor at Phuket Airport (PTT) reporting that he was a depressed patient. by presenting antidepressants and a medical certificate They also said that they were stressed because they had no money to buy a ticket to go back to their country and had no money to spend. From the conversation, the doctor saw that MR.JASON was able to talk and give information normally. Therefore, it is advisable to take the drug continuously. and advised that he could go for treatment and receive medicine at Vachira Phuket Hospital, as well as coordinating with the tourist police to take care of him further
MR.JASON has come to ask for help. from the tourist assistance center (TAC) because there is no air ticket to travel back to the country and there is no money for spending, which MR.JASON informed that he had contacted his relatives in America. But the relatives did not give any assistance. TAC staff then coordinated the embassy. Which was advised MR.JASON to borrow money from the embassy. to travel back to the country by following the instructions of the embassy which the TAC staff provided initial assistance By buying water and food for MR.JASON while waiting for an answer from the embassy. The embassy will have to take about 1 week to consider. Once the embassy considers it, it will contact TAC to notify MR.JASON further, but MR.JASON has rejected the loan from the embassy. and told me to wait for my sister to transfer the money
Later, on December 28, 2022 at about 3:08 p.m., the joint security center The Royal Thai Police informed that tourists jumped from the 3rd floor of the international passenger terminal in the smoking area, a team of doctors and nurses. therefore went to the scene and performed first aid Then called an ambulance to take the wounded to be treated at Thalang Hospital, Thalang District, Phuket Province. Thalang Hospital and later the wounded died at 4:00 p.m.
Security officers from the Royal Thai Police conducted a blockade at the scene of the incident. to facilitate the staff Sakhu Police Station continue the investigation
