At 10:00 a.m. today (April 24), Mr. Phuchong Saritchaikul, Director of the Marine and Coastal Office No. 1, was informed by Laem Charoen villagers. that dolphin carcasses were found washed up on Laem Charoen beach, Pak Nam Subdistrict, Mueang District, Rayong Province, so Prasarn, Lt. Initially found to be a female bottlehead dolphin, 218 centimeters long, in a decomposed condition. When officials performed an autopsy, it was found that the dolphin was in good health before death. Because food was found in the stomach and stingray spines were also found stabbed into the throat. Therefore, it is believed to be the cause of death.
However, the officials removed the tissue. The stingray’s teeth and spines were collected and examined to determine the exact cause of the bottlenose dolphin’s death. before allowing officials to proceed with the landfill work
