In the middle of the night on November 20, ’23, police officers from Sop Prap Lampang Police Station along with the Lampang Rescue Association visited the Sop Prap point. Lampang Rescue Association officials Equipped with a set of cutting and lighting equipment, ready for inspection before reaching the Sop Prap checkpoint. Around kilometer marker 655 (downstream into Sop Prap District), Sop Prap District, Lampang Province, after receiving notification that there had been an accident. Several trucks collided with each other and injured people were trapped inside the vehicles.
When arriving at the scene of the incident, they found a second truck with registration number 70-8529 Chiang Rai crashed into the back of a truck with registration numbers 70-9192 – 70-9192 Lampang, while the third vehicle was a truck with registration number 71-7791 Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. From the investigation, there were injuries. 1 person and 1 person died trapped inside a truck with registration number 71-7791 Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya.
The first case was a 36-year-old man who was conscious and had pain on the left side of his waist and an abrasion on his right knee. He was the driver of the second truck, registration number 70-8529, Chiang Rai. Officers of the Lampang Rescue Association, Sop Prap Point, provided first aid and took the injured to Sop Prap Hospital. They later learned that Mr. Weerasak, a resident of Pa Daet Subdistrict, Mae Suai District, Chiang Rai Province, sent him to drive. The first truck was not injured.
As for the deceased, officials of the Lampang Rescue Association at Sop Prap point The body was pulled out of the car before the autopsy was performed along with a hundred guards at Sop Prap Police Station. And the doctors at Sop Prap Hospital learned after the deceased’s name was Mr. Chusak Phra Nimit, age 50, a resident of Ao Noi Subdistrict, Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan District. Then the Lampang Rescue Association took the body of the deceased to the forensic room at Sop Prap Hospital. Investigation revealed that the 3 cars were following each other before colliding with 3 cars in a row, causing injuries and deaths.
