25 April 2024 Ms. Sirinan Siripanich, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Industry Welcoming Ms. Wong Siow Ping Catherine (HEMs. Wong Siow Ping Catherine), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to Thailand, and the delegation. Assistant Minister of Industry said that seeking cooperation in green industry between Thailand (Ministry of Industry) and the Republic of Singapore (Ministry of Industry and Trade) to exchange knowledge on driving the industrial sector to transition to a green economy (Green Transition) and clean energy (Clean Energy) in the industrial sector. and that the Republic of Singapore has the Singapore Green Plan 2030 for sustainable and environmentally friendly national development. It aims to be a country with net zero emissions by 2050 based on the concept of new energy reform (Energy Reset) under the Singapore Green Plan 2030 that focuses on promoting clean energy. Including promoting the use of electric vehicles (Electric Vehicles: EVs) by 2030, which should be an opportunity for the Thai industrial sector, especially those related to clean energy, electric vehicles, batteries, and electric vehicle charging stations.

In addition, it has been suggested to create a specific platform for industrial cooperation between Thailand and the Republic of Singapore, in addition to holding a cooperation framework meeting to strengthen economic relations between Thailand and the Republic of Singapore. (Singapore-Thailand EnhancedEconomic Relationship: STEER) and invites business groups and products and services in the categories of automation solutions and robots, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (loT) from the Republic of Singapore to invest more in Thailand in order to create Transfer Technology and Develop personnel in Thailand’s technical service and engineering industries according to the economic industrial development policy of the Ministry of Industry.
