‘NSTDA’ joins with SDG Move to present BCG indicator tools to support entrepreneurs in business development. Ready to open a forum to exchange ways to support MSME under the global crisis.

24 April 2024, Office of the National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NHST) and Sustainable Development Research and Support Center (SDG move), Faculty of Economics. Dr. Sarawanee spoke about the mission of NSTDA, which is a policy agency for higher education, science, research and innovation (NHWA). In addition, NSTDA also plays the role of the central coordination unit for the development and transfer of climate change technology in Thailand (National Designated Entity (NDE)) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change). It is a channel for entrepreneurs to access various tools that make their work easier. The results obtained from this event will therefore benefit the systematic development of the country,” said Dr. Sarawanee.

At the event, BCG indicator tools were presented to support entrepreneurs. and policy suggestions for promoting MSME enterprises towards sustainability by Asst. Prof. Chon Bunnag, Director of SDG Move and Co-manager of the Academic Network for Sustainable Development of Thailand (Sustainable Development Solutions Network: SDSN Thailand)

Asst. Prof. Chon discussed the overall picture of the project with the objective of developing BCG assessment tools and criteria suitable for business operators and designing guidelines for applying BCG assessment tools and criteria in the assessment system. to lead to financial instruments Benefits for entrepreneurs and regulations regarding various standards or other related areas and to recommend agencies that have the potential to apply BCG assessment tools and criteria. and create acceptance of BCG assessment tools and criteria with relevant agencies.

From the joint development of indicators between NSTDA, the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP), and SDG Move, the dimensions of the BCG indicators are divided into 4 dimensions: 1.Sustainability management: unit The work has good social and environmental sustainability management. 2.Value Chain: The agency has integrated practices that are consistent with Bio, Circular and Green Economy into the agency’s value chain throughout the Life Cycle of products and services. 3. Governance : The agency has systems, mechanisms, policies, strategies and other internal management that support driving the BCG economy. 4. Innovation: The agency uses and develops innovations to drive the BCG economy. Guidelines for using BCG assessment tools and criteria are divided It is 1. Self-assessment: used for self-assessment of the company. 2. Self-Declaration: is a method for certifying standards that relies on the internal operations of the agency that owns the criteria, and 3.
