Hello everyone again. I am DEK63 who entered Phramongkut Medical Center. When I was in my first year (at M.M. they are called pre-medical students), I had the opportunity to start a topic. (You can read it here)

https://www.dek-d.com/board/view/4014641/

This will be a review of various stories of Phramongkutklao College of Medicine. When I was in my first year of study, I thought that my juniors would now study a completely new curriculum. This is very different from my generation, including the subjects studied in Year 1 as well as the preclinical classes (Years 2-3).
But today I feel like I’m answering my question again when I was in Year 1, almost 4 years have passed (I’m currently studying in clinical school), what was the experience I had in Years 2-4 like? Is it like we thought? Are you tired while practicing? What is it like to study medicine? What is it like when you move from the preclinical level to the clinical level? (This is the time when the students are about to choose a faculty and I am close to the end of the semester and have just finished taking exams. So I’m here to review the sequel.)

In Year 2 As many people have researched before, it was a year of heavy training. (For people who are not physically strong like me, it will feel heavy.) After practicing, I still feel for myself how it was done. When training, if we were to talk honestly, there would be many things that we would feel to ourselves, why are we doing this? Is there any reason to do this? But after training at that time, I still didn’t quite understand this point until the 3rd year students would have status in WPM. The so-called “black hats” who will be responsible for supervising the youngsters in training are beginning to understand in the context of the training what its purpose is. What is the reason for training so hard (but let’s be honest – a lot of things probably don’t make sense in my opinion). In our actual lives, many things may not make any sense at all or be irritated by various matters that may not be of much importance. But we also have to adapt to it.

As for studying in Year 2 (fortunately, my class studied online in the first semester), so I was able to retain knowledge quite fully in the second semester of On-Site study (and there was a time when I studied and practiced as well. )

Therefore, I have the opinion that If you don’t like training or being a soldier, I myself would not recommend choosing to study here because there might be many rules that you might not like. (Some things I don’t like) Unless we don’t have a high base score and want to study in Bangkok or have thoughts about becoming a soldier in the future, I would rather recommend this place. As for the body, I think it can be developed and built.

In Year 3 This is the year that everyone who studies medicine knows that there will be an NL1 exam (professional license step 1), which requires preparation by reading books or paying attention in the classroom regularly. I think it’s a year where I have a lot more personal time, but it also comes with more responsibility. Because he must go and supervise the 2nd year students in training (there will be 5th year seniors and military officers in charge) Supervising another step) including being a senior who has activities coming in continuously and at the end of the year there must be a professional license exam. I myself did not have any outstanding studies and had to try and be very tired before I could pass the exam.
I think that life in the 3rd year It’s something colorful and has good variety. (Because I myself also do activities with outside organizations such as the Office of the Basic Education Commission) It was a year with more freedom.

In the 4th year, I must first say that I am studying in the old curriculum for my last year, which will not be the same as the DEK67 juniors who are coming in. I would like to ask for permission to review what it is like to study in a hospital. In my 4th year, there will be 5 main wards: internal medicine, surgery, and pediatrics. Obstetrics and Gynecology, which was a year that I would say was quite tough because we had to wake up early to take care of the patients we received cases and learn along with it, which We have to use our brains and exert energy on them every day, which can make us tired. (Some wards came back quite late and the hospital was dark.) Including during the week when we had to write reports (hand-wrote) which hands may be numb and tired as well. But in studying at the clinic, there is quite a variety of learning, and I see it as a year where I gained knowledge from teachers, as well as fellow Fellows and Residents who we attended together, where we had the opportunity to exchange and discuss opinions. (or sometimes in medical circles, and sometimes it is called “getting hit” = being asked questions endlessly until we are deadlocked) Which is what makes us have to stimulate our own thinking all the time) Personally, I like studying in the clinic. Because we had the opportunity to talk with patients. Ask about daily symptoms, give advice to patients, or even talk about miscellaneous matters. With the patient Moreover, in this class there is a duty shift. (Which makes us more tired than before haha)

But in my institution, aside from round wards or studying, And there is also the training for the PTTA during January – February, which is similar to being a military doctor / nurse sergeant – transporting patients or any kind of work (which some people may not like. yes Because the weather during training is hot – aside from studying, do you have to come to practice?)

This is my review of the sequel after coming up to the next level. We have seen more perspective on life while studying medicine. As for what the future will be like, we have to wait and see. Haha.

If there are juniors or seniors who see this topic, they can come in and express their own views on what they see. Because I think that each person has different ideas for sure.B

I’m rooting for all DEK67 students to make their dreams come true in their chosen group. (I myself have a younger sibling who is DEK67 as well.) I myself have seen the exams solved and solved. I saw it and was disappointed. (Why did the exam give the wrong answer? Can’t give constant values, etc. like that)

If I have any questions about entering here, I can secretly INBOX and ask for more information
